- THE BASE LINE:
HBS, Inc. is where we sell, install and service custom windows and doors, glass, mirrors and shower doors.
- A FAMILY AFFAIR
HBS was founded in 1973 as a small glass repair shop. We are now the largest custom window and door distributor in the tri-county area. Ray Reinhard has been the sales manager and in house engineer since 1991. He stared work at HBS in 1991 after finishing his engineering internship with a local firm. His goal was to assist his father, John Barrie, with product sales and grow the company from 8 employees to the current staff of 36.
- THE HBS MISSION
Our goal is to provide the highest level of service throughout the entire sales process from product selection though building code review and on to a high quality installation finish.
- THE HBS LEGACY
Owner Ray Reinhard, “My daily inspiration at the office is to continue the legacy of HBS set forth by my father. We believe in treating the customer fairly and going out of our way to satisfy the customer. We look at each project through the eyes of our customers and ask ourselves the question ͞”Would I be happy with the work if this were my house?”
The most satisfying part of my job is to be able to use my engineering background on a daily basis. Window and door sales is an extremely technical field that requires extensive building code knowledge, and as a result of recent code changes, engineering expertise. We analyze structural loading, product reinforcing, fastening details , energy codes, and are able to make experienced recommendations for product applications.
- HBS IS A POWER PLAYER
HBS is the largest PGT dealer on the Treasure Coast, and our crews are replacing windows and doors in homes just like your every day. We work on projects the range from oceanfront mansions to replacing a window in a tool shed. No matter what your project is, we can recommend the best product for your needs and get it installed professionally.
- A LONG HISTORY ON THE TREASURE COAST
Ray Reinhard has lived in Vero Beach since 1976. Ray graduated from UCF with a BS degree in civil engineering in 1988 and has been providing structural engineering design for the past 27 years. He enjoys golfing and offshore fishing. Unsurprisingly, he has improved in both sports by practicing fishing his golf balls out of the lake.
